Just as Captain America says that he’ll do whatever he can to ensure that Cadre K is able to stay in the country, L.M.D. arrives on the scene and warns them of Doom’s arrival before exploding from a Doombot infection. Lady Penance is the monarch of the new nation and the humans have freedom, as well as Hawaii. On the Hawaiian Islands, Bolivar Trask and Fiend are setting up the infrastructure there. He is more concerned with his secret bunker but she wants to build more medical facilities and shelters. He informs her he has plans for the hospitals and the two finally start to bond. Elsewhere, Graydon Creed has healed his father as much as he can but Sabretooth still won’t wake up. Creed finds a healer and has him tend to him and Sabretooth finally regains consciousness. Prophet and Deadeye relax in bed but she holds a cynical view on how long peace will last. Prophet recounts his backstory to her and tells her he has faith in the goodness of people. The deposed Weapon Omega has spent the last nine months tracking down and killing his former ministers. With Havok dead, he chases down Cyclops. After a brutal fight, Cyclops is killed but, before he can celebrate, Jean Grey appears. They talk about their relationship and the Apocalypse power and he eventually tells her she is free of him, as he will never be the man she loved. As Sebastian Shaw sits in prison, he is visited by Goodnight, who has healed from the savage beating he got for betraying Shaw. He reveals he is now more cyborg than ever and people still don’t trust him, thanks to the actions of his clones during Apocalypse’s reign. He then reveals he slipped poison into Shaw’s drink, just as the man dies in front of him. The threat from Omega Red to the East never came, as Prophet disappeared before the war was due to start. When he came back, Omega Red had backed down, thanks to the knowledge that Prophet had the Apocalypse power. Dr. Moreau wants to use the power but Prophet has hidden it and reaffirms its main use is as a deterrent. Jean Grey later meets up with Graydon and they rekindle their relationship. On Earth 616, Nightcrawler ambushes Dark Beast and orders him to take him back to the Age of Apocalypse.

Comic Summary: Northstar, Hercules, Howlett and Wolverine fly through the portal and emerge in San Francisco of the 616 universe, where they find the monster draining the energy from the Dreaming Celestial’s chest. In the Age of Apocalypse reality, Jean and her group travel to the Apocalypse power. Fiend radios through from New Apocalypse, where one of the monsters is attacking. After a short conversation, the radio goes silent and Jean realizes her friend is dead. They make their way through some caverns to the room the Apocalypse power is being kept in. Dark Beast slips away as the others look at the canister the power resides in. Jean has Kurt teleport them both away as she doesn’t trust anyone else. In the 616 universe, Howlett and Wolverine try attacking the monster but it just continues attacking the Celestial. Northstar throws Hercules at it and the monster is finally ripped away from it. Wolverine and Howlett are severely injured, so Kid Nightcrawler starts to teleport them away as Hercules continues to fight the monster. The monster kills him before Kurt can get to him in time. The monster then advances on the Celestial again, which decides to leave. However, the monster uses a grappling hook to prevent it from doing so and, even though the rest of the team manages to separate the two, the monster begins to absorb the energy from the Celestial. The team can only watch as the monster kills the Dreaming Celestial and absorbs all of its energy, continuing to grow in size and power. In the AoA reality, Jean tells Kurt the plan is for her to use the Apocalypse power herself, as she managed to use the Phoenix Force and resist it. Before she can, though, Dark Beast snatches the canister off her just as one of the monsters finds them and attacks.

Comic Summary: In a world where the X-Men never came together as a team, familiar characters are warped almost beyond recognition. Residing in Fortress X, these mutants must wage war against a world that fears and hates them just to survive. Mutantkind's final war starts here. If you don't know which side you're on, check your DNA. Gambit, Trance, Rockslide, Frenzy & Cannonball patrolled Fortress X, watching for attacking Exonims & reporting any actives to Magneto. Other mutants remained within the walls of the Fortress, huddled together around a fire reliving stories of survival. Storm snuggled up to Namor to comfort him in exchange for giving up the freedom of the seas to be with her. Nightmare accidentally upset Basilisk by reminding him of his time in Alcatraz. Beserker explained why. The island prison of Alcatraz was used for the incarceration of mutants. The Governor of Alcatraz was Arcade, who took delight in introducing Death Row inmates to their executioner. Basilisk was held completely bound on a gurney. With the flick of a switch, his mask split down the centre. He'd already had his eyelids surgically removed, so he could not contain his blasts & therefore instantly killed the mutants in front of him. As the guards wheeled him back to his cell, he managed to reach the control switch. Willingly opening his mask, Basilisk killed the guards, destroyed his chains, and went after Arcade. After executing as many human guards who tried to stand in his way, Basilisk led Callisto & the liberated mutants out of Alcatraz.

Comic Summary: Captain America, Sue Storm, Iron Man and Redback break into Fortress X, and manage to tranquilize as opposed to kill any mutants they encounter - until Callisto detects their invisible forms. The invisibility ends and full-scale battle begins, with Captain America eventually gunning down Mystique. But the Avengers are horrified to learn that she was merely protecting several young mutants. Mystique delivers a very passionate speech, before dying. The Avengers realize that they have made a mistake, and plan to leave and resign. But Iron Man’s armor overrides and prepares to kill the young mutants - until Captain America shoots and kills Iron Man. Captain America, Sue and Redback escape Fortress X with Iron Man’s glove, while the Hulk makes his way towards the Fortress, a massive bomb strapped to his back, ready to blow up every mutant in Fortress X. The Avengers engage the Hulk, and a missile is launched. Captain Ameirca’s legs are blown off and he gives the mutants a speech about working together, while Sue continues to hold back the Hulk with her force field. Redback picks up Iron Man’s glove, before the Hulk breaks the force field. Before the Hulk can kill Sue, Redback slices his arm off, and uses the Iron Man glove to detonate the bomb, killing herself and the Hulk, and decimating the area around them. Inside the new force field - force wall - that surrounds Fortress X, Legacy stays with Captain America as he dies. Today, Legacy recalls those events, and discusses with Cannonball that they should not be soldiers, but heroes. Second story: Dazzler, Angel Salvadore and Velocidad are attempting to escape to Fortress X by going through the tunnels under Manhattan, when they are apprehended by mutant hunter Stephen Strange. Angel and Velocidad are seemingly killed, but Dazzler escapes through the another tunnel, and almost finds freedom, until Strange traps her, and appears to kill her. But Dazzler later wakes up, safe inside Fortress X, along with Angel and Velocidad, as it is revealed Strange is actually a mutant rescuer, who brings the mutants to Fortress X.

Armor arrives and orders the younger mutants to run along, before she and Glob join their friends Pixie, Rockslide, Shark Girl and Anole meet for breakfast, where Shark Girl reveals to the others that Glob had been working on fan fiction, that it was like the Resolution, the X-Men's last battle, and they are all in it, in small roles. Armor takes it from her, and gives it back to Glob, while Rockslide reminds everyone that they need to meet to study tonight, however Anole tells the others that he can't make it. Later, at the Hope Summers Memorial Library, Pixie, Anole, Glob, Shark Girl and Rockslide meet, but their plans to study are interrupted when a fire is seen down the street. Pixie and Armor rush to go and maintain order. They find a house ablaze, and when they hear cries for help, go down the back of the house to find Blob of Department X arresting Bling. Blob orders them to go maintain order around the front, after warning Bling that she is going to be mindwiped again. Pixie goes around the front, while Armor holds back, and discovers Anole emerging from the shadows. Anole slips away, but not without asking Armor to listen to Bling – they are being lied to. Glob, Shark Girl and Rockslide arrive to watch the fire, before the X-Men appear to put the fire out, and Glob somehow vanishes. Later, Armor arrives at Glob's dorm room, where she reveals to him what she saw tonight. Comic Summary: Gambit is trying to steal a small statue from a wealthy collector’s home on the grounds that it is cursed and therefore dangerous, when he is stopped by Wolverine, who chides him for both maintaining his relationship with the Thieves’ Guild and neglecting his duties as teacher at the Jean Grey School. Later, sulking at having been treated like a child, Gambit is approached by Polaris, who cryptically asks him to accompany her to Virginia. Intrigued, Gambit does so, riding on a private jet belonging to Serval Industries, a corporation for whom Polaris is currently working. Polaris tries to explain that it is a company dedicated to helping people, a fact Gambit finds suspicious, especially after one of the corporation’s apparent enemies unsuccessfully fires a missile at the jet, trying to destroy it. Nevertheless, Gambit enters Serval Industries’ massive corporate office in Virginia and meets its president and CEO, a man named Harrison Snow. Snow explains that he intends to create the world’s first corporate-owned super hero team, which he will name X-Factor, having purchased the rights to the name from Jamie Madrox. To help Gambit’s suspicion, Snow introduces him to the team’s possible next recruit, Quicksilver, who has just left the Avengers. This takes Polaris by surprise and, though they have recent bad history and despite Gambit’s belief that he is a spy for the Avengers, she reluctantly consents to his membership. Gambit is still unsure about joining, so he asks about the team’s first mission, to which Snow had been alluding. Hearing that it is to rescue some mutants who are apparently being held captive and upon who are being experimented by AIM, Gambit agrees. The three members of X-Factor soon break into the AIM facility, intent on being in and out quickly. However, deeper within the complex, Doctor Terrance Hoffman learns of arrival of the three mutants and gleefully tells his subject, the bound, mutant Fatale, that she’s about to have company.

Comic Summary: Rather than being worried that mutants are breaking into his facility, Dr. Terrance Hoffman is quite pleased and prepares for their arrival. Elsewhere in the facility, special traps separate Gambit, Quicksilver and Polaris, though each escapes their own without injury. Afterward, Polaris happens upon the bound Fatale and frees her. She explains that Hoffman located and retrieved them from their dimensional exile and has drained the energy which threatened to kill them. Worse, he plans to use that energy somehow. Meanwhile, back in his lab, Dr. Hoffman employs his machine to drain the last of the energy from Abyss and Reaper, transforming him into a giant, seemingly comprised of pure energy. His first target is Polaris and Fatale, who do their best to avoid his projected energy blasts. So focused is he that Hoffman doesn’t notice the arrival of Quicksilver and Gambit. Quicksilver uses his gravity-defying speed to tow Gambit up to Hoffman’s ear, into which Gambit throws a charged card. The resulting explosion knocks out Hoffman, who reverts back to human form. Incensed at their recent torture, Reaper moves to kill the helpless Hoffman, only to be stopped by Quicksilver. To X-Factor’s surprise, Reaper and Fatale bear greater enmity toward Quicksilver than the man who had been holding them captive. They all reject his apologies and swear that they will never forgive him, nor stop trying to get even.

Comic Summary: Quicksilver reports the latest goings-on at X-Factor to Havok, who continues to want him to keep tabs on his ex-girlfriend, Polaris. Meanwhile, at Serval Industries corporate office, Gambit is making his living quarters more like a home with the presence of his three cats. Polaris tries to pet one, only to have it angrily hiss and claw at her, resulting in her almost losing control of her anger. Fortunately, she calms herself down before going too far. At that moment, Serval CEO Harrison Snow arrives and takes the duo down to the building’s sublevel where all of its computer servers are located. At the center of the network is Doctor Anton Wexler, the systems’ creator and administrator, who reports that their system has been hacked which has resulted in the theft of both information and millions of dollars. However, he has tracked the source of the hack to a previously unknown island in the Mediterranean, where he and Snow want to send X-Factor. Polaris and Gambit agree to the mission and are joined by the just-returning Quicksilver. However, as they are crossing the Atlantic in their new jet transport, the Raptor, Gambit confesses that the island is actually the headquarters of the Thieves’ Guild, of which he is the current king. Shortly after arriving, they are met by Jean Luc, a man who helped raise Gambit as a surrogate father. As requested, Jean Luc takes the trio to meet Nil, the island’s resident technomancer and the one most likely responsible for the hack. Rather proud of his ability to infiltrate Serval’s system, Nil eagerly takes the group to see the tool he recently acquired which helped him accomplish the feat. To the shock of all of X-Factor, it turns out to be a captive Danger of the X-Men. When Nil refuses to free her, Polaris does it herself. Unfortunately, the now-freed Danger seems intent on killing them all. Meanwhile, back at Serval Harrison Snow offers the captive Dr. Hoffman, recently captured by X-Factor for experimenting on mutants, a job and a promise of funding for his research.

Later, after Mr. Smaug has arrived, Linda escorts X-Factor to the meeting room but is startled when Danger deduces her affair with Harrison Snow, thanks to her detection of his DNA on Linda’s person. Because of the conversation, Danger arrives after the rest of X-Factor has already been introduced. Much to everyone’s surprise, Danger declares that Smaug is not human and, to prove her point, punches him through the chest. Incensed at his disguise being destroyed, Lemar Smaug transforms into the Technarch entity known as the Magus. Polaris quickly moves the fight outside, which only gives Magus more room to grow into a towering monster. As the rest of X-Factor move to fight him, they find Magus has an ally: his son, Warlock. After a short fight, the two technological entities teleport away, much to the confusion of X-Factor. While the rest of the team is unsure what to do next, Polaris offers a plan. They find the one person who knows Warlock better than anyone in the world… Doug Ramsey.

Comic Summary: In his remote house in the woods, Doug Ramsey awakens from a nightmare in which he has fulfilled his undesired destiny of becoming a tyrannical despot. Worried more and more that this future will come to pass, Doug decides to kill himself by jumping off a nearby cliff, only to find X-Factor waiting for him at the front door. After hearing the situation, Doug replies that it is unlikely that Warlock is working with his father, the Magus. However, his beliefs are called into question when Danger identifies and then forcibly removes a device Warlock secretly implanted next to Doug’s heart. Using his powers as Cypher, Doug detects the location to which the device is transmitting and decides to accompany X-Factor to investigate. Via their Raptor jet, the team arrives at a ranch outside of Houston, Texas, an apparent research facility of the company which the Magus claimed to head. Much to their surprise, the ranch transforms into an immense, technological tower from which the Magus emerges and innocently offers for them to enter. Within, X-Factor finds a high tech research facility and among its many employees Warlock, who is overjoyed to find his self-friend Doug is okay. Reunited, Warlock expresses a desire to leave with his friend, which greatly angers the Magus. However, Warlock’s father reluctantly and petulantly concedes, giving his blessing. As the team departs in the Raptor, Polaris offers membership in X-Factor to both Doug and Warlock. Seeing Warlock is infatuated with Danger, Doug whimsically asks her to tell him more. Meanwhile, back at Serval Industries HQ, CEO Harrison Snow’s wife, Angela, surprises him at work and invites him to lunch. As her husband goes to arrange reservations, Angela asks Linda Kwan, her husband’s assistant, how long she’s been sleeping with Harrison. Linda denies the accusation, which quietly angers Angela more. After threatening Linda not to lie to her again the next time they speak, Angela departs with her husband, leaving Linda very much alone.

Comic Summary: Polaris is debriefed by Harrison Snow, who inquires as to X-Factor’s recent decision to allow the Magus to continue operating as head of Serval Industries’ competitor, Techno, Inc. After defending their actions, she returns to the team common room, where she finds Cypher and Quicksilver discussing a recording of a recent live stream made by Georgia Dakei, daughter of anti-mutant media mogul and novelist Scott Dakei. As the video depicts her being possibly abused by her father, the duo suggest X-Factor go to see if she needs rescuing. Polaris reluctantly agrees to the mission, but only as long as it is unofficial and they go out of uniform. As the team prepares, Quicksilver makes a quick report to Havok regarding their recent encounter with the Magus, but purposefully omits their current mission. After a quick ride on their corporate jet, X-Factor arrives at the Dakei home, a half-buried, luxury bunker in New Mexico. After ringing the doorbell, they are threatened to leave within five seconds, after which miniguns appear and apparently kill the whole team. However, when Dakei and his bodyguard arrive to inspect the situation, they see the corpses are actually holograms, at which point Quicksilver knocks them both out. The team soon finds Georgia, who seems overjoyed at actually meeting mutants, especially famous ones. Knowing that the estate’s security is on its way, the team offers sanctuary to Georgia, which she immediately declines, saying that she enjoys her life with her father, despite what was said on the live stream. Frustrated at the situation, Cypher attempts to bring Georgia with them by force. However, in trying to stop him, Georgia instinctively uses her mutant power to apparently kill him by desiccation, at which point she asks the others if they want pie.

Comic Summary: Cypher lies on the floor, his body desiccated by the apparent mutant abilities of Georgia Dakei, who is barely cognizant of what she has done. The team demands that Georgia reverse what she has done but this only further confuses Georgia. Suddenly, they are interrupted by the arrival of Georgia’s father, Scott Dakei, who is accompanied by his bodyguard Orville and a security team. However, Polaris acts quickly, magnetically pulling him into the room and slamming the door behind him. The team quickly realizes that Dakei has long known that his daughter is a mutant, a fact which he had kept from her, as well as the rest of the world, thus explaining her homeschooling and strict isolation. After more prodding, the team convinces Georgia to try to restore Cypher. However, as she requires a source of water, the team makes their way to the kitchen, literally barreling through the security team in the process. As Georgia tries to reverse the process, Quicksilver removes Dakei from the room and soon finds himself cornered again by Orville and the security team, who claim to have weapons to take down the speedster. To everyone’s surprise, Harrison Snow suddenly arrives, asking to speak with Dakei in private. Back in the kitchen, Georgia succeeds in restoring Cypher. The celebration is short-lived, however, when a sniper attempts to take out Gambit, resulting in the angry and powerful Polaris ripping the ceiling out of Dakei’s bunker and threatening the multitude of law enforcement responders into leaving. The threat over, Cypher attempts to invite Georgia to leave with them, but offhand remarks from Danger and Warlock as to the mortality of mutants freaks out the young girl, who runs to her father. She finds him in his office, having concluded his meeting with Snow. Much to her surprise, Dakei informs Georgia that he doesn’t consider her his daughter anymore and tells her she needs to leave with Harrison Snow and X-Factor. Both angry and heartbroken, Georgia slaps her father and flees, followed by X-Factor. Now alone, Snow remarks that he’s doing the right thing, to which Dakei replies that Snow gave him no choice. Once Snow too has left, Scott Dakei buries his face in his hands at what he has been forced to do.

Comic Summary: Returning from their trip to the Dakei estate in New Mexico, Harrison Snow berates Polaris for taking the team out on an unauthorized mission. At first, Snow seems to consider shutting down the team, but instead asks consideration from Lorna in the future for his input, consideration which she has to admit he has so far given her. Meanwhile, Georgia Dakei seems depressed about her uncertain future and rebuffs Cypher’s attempt to console her. When she then seems to warm up to Gambit, Cypher becomes greatly annoyed, calling him a shmuck. After returning to Serval HQ, Gambit decides to go off on his own for a night at the bar. There he meets and picks up an attractive blonde, unaware that she is Angela Snow, Serval Industries’ CEO Harrison Snow’s wife, who knows exactly who Gambit is. Meanwhile, Harrison gives Georgia a tour of Serval’s computer center, where she meets Dr. Anton Wexler. Through his normal, inconsiderate manner, Wexler informs Georgia via his acquired data that Scott Dakei is not his real father and that she is adopted. Though her true father is not known, her true mother lives in Minneapolis. Shocked at this news, Georgia convinces the group to take her there and Snow even provides his consent for Polaris to use the company jet. The next morning, as the group departs, Gambit is visited by Harrison’s assistant and secret lover, Linda Kwan, who is shocked to find Harrison’s wife in bed with Gambit. Pleased at her indiscretion having been discovered, Angela goes to take a shower, leaving Linda the job of explaining to the shocked Gambit as to who she really is. Arriving in Minneapolis, Polaris, Quicksilver and Cypher take Georgia to the house of her mother, Dakota Bennett, who is overjoyed at having been reunited with her daughter. Georgia prods her mother as to who her father is, but Dakota seems reluctant to talk about him. Unfortunately for all present, Dakota’s house has been under surveillance for years by Georgia’s father, who was informed immediately upon Georgia’s return. Without warning, Georgia’s father uses his powers to rip the house apart and kidnap his daughter. He takes but a moment to introduce himself as Memento Mori before he erupts the house in flames and flies away with his daughter.

Comic Summary: Though the destruction of Dakota Bennett’s house is total, magically no one seems physically harmed. After digging themselves free, Polaris calls X-Factor’s employer, Harrison Snow, and informs him of the situation. Immediately, Snow assembles the remaining members of the team – Danger, Warlock and Gambit. Not yet knowing whether Snow is aware that he has unintentionally slept with Snow’s wife, Gambit is nervous, and more so when Snow transports the trio to Minneapolis via a never-before mentioned matter-transporter. Snow immediately orders the prep of the transporter for their eventual retrieval, but is suddenly informed by his assistant, Linda Kwan, that she found Gambit in bed with his wife that morning. At the site of the abduction, Danger informs the reunited team that she can track Georgia and her father via their residual heat signature. Meanwhile, Memento Mori informs his daughter that, though he is indeed a super villain, most of his operation is actually legitimate, including the five-star hotel in which is office is located and the entire indoor mall in which the hotel is located. He then explains how Georgia’s mother, Dakota, left him when she was pregnant after discovering what he was and gave her up for adoption to protect her. However, now that they are together, Georgia and the powers she possesses will serve him and his needs. Panicked, Georgia uses her desiccation powers on her father and tries to escape. She races through the mall but, despite using her powers on a guard, she is taken down by a tranq dart. Fortunately, Gambit, Cypher and Warlock prevents her recapture. The trio make their way to X-Factor’s rendezvous point, where the team is extracted via Snow’s matter-transporter. To his shock, however, Gambit finds himself left behind.

Comic Summary: X-Factor and Georgia Dakei have returned to Serval Industries, teleported from Minnesota to Virginia via Harrison Snow’s matter transporter. Snow immediately dispatches Quicksilver to recover Georgia’s mother, Dakota Bennett, from her current location in a Minnesota hospital. However, moments later, she realizes that Gambit was not transported with the rest of the team. Left behind purposefully by Snow, Gambit is now a captive of Memento Mori, who utilizes torture to learn where X-Factor has taken his daughter. When Gambit mentions “Snow,” Mori deduces that he means Harrison Snow, whom Mori has learned has recently created a super hero team. Immediately, Memento Mori assembles soldiers in his employ and jets to Serval Industries HQ in a heavily armed craft, arriving just as Quicksilver is returning with Georgia’s mother. Aware of the impending attack, Snow activates a force field, generated from Layla Miller’s gauntlet, which Snow purchased from the Madroxes when he bought the rights to the X-Factor name. The raising of the force field cripples Mori’s craft, but Mori is undeterred, threatening Gambit’s life if X-Factor does not hand over his daughter. At first, X-Factor seems to comply, but the arriving Georgia reveals herself to be a hologram-disguised Danger, who takes Mori by surprise. Nevertheless, Mori holds his own against X-Factor and eventually defeats them. Before he can take advantage of his victory, however, Dakota intervenes, revealing that she is a magic user, who years ago cast a spell which went wrong, inadvertently creating Mori’s hunger for power. She had run away and hid from him because she knew that she would have to stop him, which she now does to save her daughter. As X-Factor and Georgia look on, Dakota unleashes her power, apparently destroying both herself and Memento Mori. Though surrounded by X-Factor, Georgia Dakei finds herself very much alone and collapses in tears.

Comic Summary: Once again, Quicksilver meets in secret with Havok, debriefing the Avengers’ Unity Squad leader about X-Factor’s latest mission. However, when Havok announces that Quicksilver’s duty is done spying on Polaris and that he can return, Quicksilver rejects the invitation to join the Avengers, explaining that Lorna needs him more than Wanda. Back at Serval HQ, Gambit confronts Harrison Snow with his belief that Snow deliberately left him behind from the teams’ teleportation extraction due to having learned that Gambit inadvertently slept with Snow’s wife. Not only does Snow lie, however, he claims to have not known about the incident and that he doesn’t care what consenting adults do in their spare time. However, as Gambit leaves, he smiles knowingly to himself. Elsewhere, Danger consents to an X-Factor uniform, which draws the attention of the already-smitten Warlock. Noting that Warlock is attempting to avoid speaking in the third person to please her, Danger responds with the social convention of a kiss to the cheek, greatly pleasing Warlock in return. Meanwhile, in the common area, Cypher attempts to console Georgia Dakei, who has just lost any family she had. Noting that she blames him, he makes her an offer to slap him, which she accepts with great vigor and force. Afterward, Georgia thanks him for trying to help her. Later, at the press conference announcing X-Factor’s status as a corporate-sponsored super hero team, the former mutant called Fatale interrupts, accusing Quicksilver of being a criminal and murderer. Moved by his guilt at how much he hurt her and his family, Quicksilver admits that everything she said is true, after which he returns to his room awaiting arrest or ejection from the team. Instead, he is surprise by a visit from his daughter, Luna, who tells her father that she is proud of him for owning up to what he did and asks him to forget what she said before about never respecting him again. Hugging his daughter tightly, Quicksilver tells her that it is already forgotten.

Comic Summary: After the debacle of the press conference in which Quicksilver confessed to a series of highly unethical acts, Harrison Snow meets with Polaris and Gambit, suggesting that they fire him. However, when Polaris makes clear that if her brother leaves then so does she, Snow backs down and allows Polaris to have her way. On the way out, an ecstatic Gambit tries to make a pass at Polaris, only to be violently rebuffed with a slap. Elsewhere in their HQ, Warlock attempts to ask Danger out on a date, but becomes extremely uncomfortable when she ignores social norms by suggesting sexual intercourse, the natural, eventual completion of such interactions. So unnerved, Warlock departs before the conversation can progress. Meanwhile, Luna attempts to invite Georgia to accompany her and her father, Quicksilver, to their outing to Colonial Williamsburg. At first, Georgia is not interested, but Luna provides a mental push, changing her mind. At the historic district, Georgia is having fun, while Luna and Pietro continue to bond as father & daughter. During their conversation, Luna unintentionally lets slip that her mother’s marriage to the Kree Accuser named Ronan has been dissolved. Before he can come to terms with this, Gorgon of the Inhumans attacks, intending to bring the wayward Luna back to her family. After a brief battle, Gorgon is rendered helpless by Polaris, who does so by simply lifting him off of the ground. Quicksilver attempts to intervene, pointing out that all of the reasons Gorgon is angry with him are valid. The situation is ultimately diffused by Crystal, Quicksilver’s ex-wife and Luna’s mother, who orders her daughter to return home with her. However, when Luna appeals to her mother to let her stay, Crystal relents, as long as Quicksilver promises that Luna leaves with her when she next returns. Quicksilver agrees and the icy relationship between the two thaws just a bit.

Comic Summary: Magneto tells his fellow X-Men of a mission he needs them to go on. He eventually tells them his feelings about Bishop and his story of this reality somehow being wrong. He’s afraid what Bishop says might be true and needs to find out if it is. He meets some resistance from his people, but he assures them it is necessary. Blink comes through her teleportation disc during the meeting. Next through is Sunfire and he’s hurting. A Prelate comes through as well, but Blink severs the disc and he is killed. Blink and Sunfire tell everyone that Holocaust has started another culling in Chicago and everyone is shocked. Later on, while still recovering, Sunfire asks Rogue to help them stop Holocaust. Gambit enters the room and he and Rogue leave to have a heart-to-heart. They’re almost about to kiss at one point when Blink steps outside with baby Charles. Gambit leaves and the X-Men resume their mission. In the hangar bay, Quicksilver stops by to try and convince Rogue not to go, only to learn that Sabretooth, Wild Child, and Morph have decided to accompanying Blink, Sunfire and her to Chicago. Rogue convinces Pietro she needs to go and after wishing each other good luck, they blast off for Chicago. Bishop enters the hangar, puzzled as to why the X-Men would go on a suicide mission. Quicksilver tells him that even if this world isn’t the right world, it’s still their world and they will fight for it. Elsewhere in the mansion, Magneto mulls over Bishop’s ramblings. Nightcrawler is in the room with him and they have a deep conversation about everything… basically, Magneto is willing to sacrifice this Earth based on a promise to his friend Xavier to make the world a better place. In his stronghold, Apocalypse learns from his servant Rex that the location of the X-Men’s base of operations will soon be known, as they can track Blink’s signature. Comic Summary: Sometime soon, Northstar is making his way through some sewage tunnels when he comes across Karma. She is badly injured, having been speared by a harpoon. She tells him that someone is waiting for him down the tunnels and then apologizes before falling unconscious. Northstar looks up to see his boyfriend, Kyle, aiming a pistol at him. He asks Northstar if he wants to race, before raising the pistol to his temple. Northstar cries out his name as the gun goes off. In the present, Chimera and the Marauders attack the X-Men, who have Cecelia Reyes by their side. She tries to aid an innocent bystander but is attacked by the mercenaries who are in collusion with the Marauders. When one fires at her, the bullet ricochets off her forcefield and kills him, leaving his colleagues who decide to run for it. The Marauders fight well against the X-Men but, when Karma manages to mentally zap Chimera out of her mind-control, the tide turns and the Vanisher teleports the Marauders, minus Chimera, away from the scene. Karma then tries to determine who has placed the Marauders under their command but, when she enters Chimera’s mind, the only things she finds are some disgusting mental guards in place. The only clue they have now to who is behind this attack is a GPS tracker discovered by Gambit. With the fighting over, Northstar and Kyle discuss their relationship, the upshot being that, despite the differences in their lives, they love each other and wish to be together. Unseen by them, they are being watched by Susan Hatchi’s assistant. She has further plans for the loving couple and the X-Men. Later that night, Karma goes to bed but wakes up when she senses something amiss. She walks into her lounge and finds Susan Hatchi, the person behind the Marauder’s attack, sitting there. She tells Karma that she did quite well breaking her hold over Chimera, so she’s curious to see how she’ll handle the X-Men. (Brief summary thanks to uncannyxmen.net)

Comic Summary: Three monsters have emerged from the portal and killed Xavier of the X-treme X-Men. In response, Dazzler blasts one with her light beams, but it absorbs her energy and grows in size. After trying various methods of attack, the teams realize that the monsters are nearly invulnerable. Karma tries possessing one but it ends up possessing her. They find out that the monsters were trapped between dimensions by the Celestials and that the constant travelling between worlds has weakened the barriers and freed them. Karma is dying but Iceman freezes the monsters and saves Karma. As the teams regroup to try and figure out what to do, Sage picks up on some thought the monsters are projecting. She screams for someone to shut the portal down, but it’s too late and one of the monsters walks through it to the 616 universe. As Howlett, Wolverine and Hercules go after it, the second monster heads off into New Apocalypse, whilst the third starts to drain energy from the portal itself. Prophet says that they could use the power of Apocalypse to defeat them but Jean Grey isn’t so keen. After some deliberation, the teams decide to split up with some staying on New Apocalypse and the other going to fight the creature through the portal. Sabretooth and Horror Show sacrifice themselves to provide a distraction whilst Kid Nightcrawler teleports a group of people through the portal. The remaining group in New Apocalypse heads off to formulate a plan of attack as the second monster tears through the city.

Comic Summary: Jean Grey has taken in the power of Apocalypse and has been transformed into an immensely powerful being. Though she still holds on to her personality, the death powers are already corrupting her. As the monsters feed off the energy from the portal, Jean engages them in combat, blasting them away and drawing their attention. Howlett mourns the death of Kid Nightcrawler, causing AoA Nightcrawler to face up to what he has done. Prophet tells him to stop pitying himself and says they need Sage and the Celestial black box from the other universe. Nightcrawler teleports through the portal and on his way he sees billions of other monsters descends upon the portal. In the 616 universe, Wolverine and Northstar are arguing about what to do. Sage manages to connect her mind to the black box and sees the origin of the monsters. The Celestials created life because they were lonely. They decided to create death as well, so they formed the monsters. However, the monsters turned on them and so the universe was copied many times and the monsters were imprisoned in one of them. The constant traveling between universes weakened the walls and allowed the monsters to escape again. Suddenly, Nightcrawler appears and take Sage back with him. In New Apocalypse, Jean is fighting the monsters but more continue to come through the portal. Slowly, the death seed starts to take her over more and she begins to lose herself. As the carnage spreads, Sage and Nightcrawler appear and Sage tells Prophet she knows what to do. He already knows, though. The monsters need a prison and this universe is the best choice. Dazzler tries to tell him there must be another way but he says there isn’t. They need to get everyone they can back to her world and then close off the portal. Nightcrawler says he can do both.

Comic Summary: As Iceman shifts his body into a massive ice giant, the X-Men do what they can to talk him down, and save civilians that are in his way. Gambit kinetically-charges Iceman’s ankle, causing him to fall over, enabling Kitty to phase into his body, where she unsuccessfully attempts to purge the Apocalypse death seed from Iceman. However, the heroes do buy some time as Iceman all but melts. Wolverine and Gambit visit the imprisoned Dark Beast, who explains how he put the death seed into Iceman during their recent inter-dimensional adventure. He doesn’t tell them whether it can be removed. As the world goes into an ice-age, people are trying to cope with their new reality, while Iceman goes to visit his bigoted father. They argue for a time, while Iceman’s mother tries to calm them down - only Iceman freezes his father’s heart, giving him a heart-attack, he then leaves on an ice-slide. Mystique visits Iceman in the cave where he is keeping Polaris and Annie Ghazikhanian prisoner. They talk about survival, and the real Bobby Drake - this is only one of his clones, who explains that Iceman loved Mystique once, but that soon he will never be capable of loving anyone again. The real Iceman appears, and places Mystique in an ice-bubble, before rising up on an ice-tower, far into the atmosphere. They look down at the Earth below as they discuss power. The X-Men, Opal and her son take refuge in one of the churches, and discuss how Iceman has changed, and their need to remove the death seed from him. Suddenly, Thor arrives, demanding to see Iceman. Taking the form of a dragon, Iceman attacks Thor and seemingly swallows him. The X-Men leave the church and are confronted by Mystique and dozens of Iceman clones. Wolverine is taken out of the equation quickly, while Thor breaks free of the Iceman-dragon - but starts to get overwhelmed again, although he does manage to summon a lightning bolt. Iceman finds Opal, who tells him that if he doesn’t stop this, he will kill her son, and he is all she has. Iceman reminds Opal of how she previously lied to him about the boy, and starts to surround her in ice, while demanding to know whether he is good enough for Opal now. However, Thor escapes his hold, and casts his lightning bolt through Iceman, before shattering his form with his hammer. Opal collapses, but as Thor walks over to Iceman’s remains, Mystique shoves an ice-spear through him, walks over and picks up the death seed - and swallows it!

Comic Summary: Gambit, Karma and Warbird content with the Iceman clones, while Wolverine is imprisoned in a block of ice, and Mystique has just swallowed the death seed. She attacks the X-Men, while Gambit tries to talk her down. Mystique doesn’t listen, and boasts that she is Apocalypse - until Thor strikes her with a blast of lightning. She collapses before him, enabling Kitty Pryde to phase up through the snow and reach into Mystique’s body, where she literally pulls the death seed out of her. She is then sucked into the snow, and the X-Men assume Iceman has taken her. The ice starts to sweep up over them, and soon Gambit, Warbird and Karma vanish as well, leaving Opal Tanaka in shock. They re-appear miles away, though Warbird is in danger, as she is cold-blooded and needs heat to survive. With nothing but ice around them for miles, they need help. Iceman visits his therapist - only his therapist is just a clone. Iceman then confronts Opal and her son, Robert. Mystique re-appears on the Great Wall of China, and Iceman, or a clone, tells her that she betrayed him, while Mystique recommends to him that he hold onto his dark side. At the Drake residence, an Iceman clone keeps watch over his ailing father. One of the Iceman clones confronts Gambit, Karma and Warbird, who, despite her injuries, warns him that she will fight him. Kitty Pryde appears, and announces that she will fight, too. She tells him that if he thinks he is the only one who has had a bad lifer, then he should look around, as they all have, but that they are all survivors. Iceman doesn’t know who to believe - Kitty? Opal? Mystique? The dragon-like form of Iceman attacks Kitty, Karma, Gambit and Warbird, so one of the clones increases his own mass to battle the evil Iceman, and in the aftermath, only Bobby Drake remains. The ice melts across the world. Cecilia Reyes checks Polaris and Annie Ghazikhanian out for injuries, and William Drake is taken to a hospital, while Mystique is left in China. Kitty says goodbye to Opal and her son. Opal wishes she could help her with Bobby, who watches her go. Wolverine tells Iceman that he owed all of the women an explanation, and they discuss Bobby’s future with the X-Men. Kitty joins the discussion, as Wolverine warns Bobby that he will be keeping an eye on him. Bobby tells Kitty that he doesn’t know who he is anymore, and reveals that he liked being a monster, as he was free.

Comic Summary: Sitting atop a tall building in Genosha while holding Luna in his arms, Fabian Cortez watches fires spread across the city beneath him. Elsewhere, in Washington D.C., three government officials discuss the declining situation in the war between the Genoshan army and the mutate population. Val Cooper tells Gyrich to escort a diplomat to Genosha and, while he does that, Nick Fury will contain the Avengers, so they don’t get involved in Genoshan affairs. Nick Fury goes to the Avengers mansion and explains to them what has been transpiring in Genosha. Also, he tells them to not get involved. While Fury talks to the Avengers, Gyrich heads towards Xavier’s Mansion to try to talk Xavier into coming to Genosha with him. Xavier agrees to go but only if one of his own associates can go with them as well. Gyrich questions who it is and, in answer, the Beast tumbles into the room. Back at the Avengers mansion, Crystal figures out why Fury does not want the Avengers to go to Genosha, when her child Luna is discovered to be a Mutate from Genosha, who has disguised herself as Luna. The Mutate is a living bomb, who blows herself up, trying to kill some of the Avengers along with her. Luckily, Crystal saves them and the Avengers head towards the Hangar Bay to leave towards Genosha. Shockingly, as soon as they reach the Hangar Bay, they are greeted by hundreds of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, determined to stop them. Before Xavier leaves the mansion, he telepathically commands the other X-Men to travel in the Blackbird to Genosha. He will meet them in twelve hours. Comic Summary: Hovering near Genosha, the Hellicarrier carries a few Avengers and the military might of S.H.I.E.L.D. to the conflict below. In their way is a large psi-shield that seems to be, so far, impenetrable. A man named Exodus is responsible for the psi-shield and, under his impenetrable dome, he prepares to slay one of his greatest enemies. Cortez, threatening to harm his young charge, Luna, if Exodus is not defeated, puts her parents in a vile predicament. Helping them make their decision, Exodus telekinetically removes Luna from Cortez’s grasp and kills him for his disobedience. Above Exodus, on the streets of Genosha, the X-Men are in the midst of rescuing hundreds of tormented humans. While the X-Men stop to talk to Trish Tilby, the Avengers come onto the scene looking for their lost teammates Crystal and the Scarlet Witch. After the two teams check out the forcefield surrounding the Island, Xavier contacts them via telepathy and demands them to come to his aid. The teams leave to help the Professor. Thankfully freeing the Mutates and stopping the Genoshan army becomes a much easier task, once they arrive to help their outnumbered friends. While the X-Men and Avengers are distracted elsewhere, Exodus takes his hostages and they head off to meet the Avengers/X-Men. After escaping the concentration camps the X-Men are forced to face off against Exodus or see all the humans’ in Genosha slaughtered. While one team stops the Mutates’ from wholesale murder, the other team takes on Exodus. Ending the battle, the Black Knight, along with Xavier, attacks him, knocking him unconscious and to the ground. After a brief but powerful speech by Xavier to the Mutates’ in Genosha, Exodus awakens and flies off, psi-blasting Quicksilver and leaving him for dead. Quickly, the Black Knight helps to revive Pietro and, in tears, Crystal thanks him for his help. After the fighting is over, the next day, Charles Xavier and Captain America watch as the Hellicarrier delivers the needed supplies to help the Genoshan people. Comic Summary: The Scarlet Witch hovers over Avengers Mansion and recalls various events that led up to the infamous destruction of the Avengers. She brings forth an army of Ultrons and several Kree warships, while the Young Avengers, Iron Lad and Ant-Man are unsure about what to do. Hawkeye, the Beast and Jessica Jones arrive on scene, and Hawkeye and the Beast both reveal that they recently encountered the Scarlet Witch in Transia. The Young Avengers fill the others in on what has been going on up until this point, and take down all of the Ultrons and Kree warships. Wiccan has an idea but needs Hulkling to take him up to the Scarlet Witch, however Hulkling refuses, fearing for his boyfriend’s safety. Stature offers to take Wiccan up, and reveals to Ant-Man, her father, that she borrowed his Pym Particles. Wiccan begins talking to the Scarlet Witch, and they discuss her children, revealing that he and Speed are William and Thomas. Comic Summary: At Avengers Mansion, the Scarlet Witch is thanked by Rictor, after she restored his mutant power. However trouble is brewing outside as several X-Men have arrived, and moments later, the Avengers who have been tracking the Scarlet Witch arrive as well with Magneto and Quicksilver. Both teams want the Scarlet Witch - the X-Men to bring her to justice for the genocide of the mutant race, while the Avengers want her for the destruction she caused to the team. Magneto tries to intervene between Cyclops and Captain America, before Rictor demonstrates his re-born power. Flanked by Hawkeye, the Beast, Jessica Jones, the resurrected Ant-Man, and the Young Avengers, the Scarlet Witch is reunited with her father and brother, and announces that she takes full responsibility for what she did, and is prepared for the Avengers to take her away. But the X-Men aren’t having it, and Cyclops continues to argue with Magneto and Captain America. A battle between the X-Men and the Avengers protecting the Scarlet Witch ensues. The White Queen tries to manipulate Wiccan and Speed, the Scarlet Witch’s children, before the Scarlet Witch takes control of the situation, taking out the Avengers and the X-Men with a spell. She teleports herself and the Young Avengers to Latveria. The Scarlet Witch is reunited with Doctor Doom, and the Young Avengers are worried that trouble will come of this. The Scarlet Witch and Doom reveal that when Wanda learned of her sons’ deaths, she sought out Doom’s help, and that he agreed to help her in the darker arts, and that given Wanda’s Nexus Being status, they were able to conjure a life force itself, which imbued the Scarlet Witch with incredible power, only it was not a power that could be controlled, and that it was under this influence that she caused destruction to the Avengers and de-powered the majority of the world’s mutants. The Scarlet Witch only learned some of this now, and asks Doom to divorce her from the power once she has restored the powers of all the de-powered mutants around the world. Patriot tries to stop them, as he believes Doom is up to no good, and Doom reveals that Wiccan had his power all this time. Wanda, Wiccan and Doom unite their power in an attempt to return the powers to the mutants, but Patriot is still not convinced, and fires one of Hawkeye’s arrows into the spell, disrupting the magicians. Wanda is injured, and Doom reveals himself with a handsome, restored appearance, as he now owns the incredible lifeforce!

Comic Summary: At castle Doom, the god-like Victor von Doom confronts the Young Avengers and the Scarlet Witch, offering to remake the world with his newfound power. The Scarlet Witch tells him that the power will corrupt him, like it did to her, but Doom disagrees. Patriot asks Doom whether he can restore the mutants’ powers, but Doom explains that he cannot. Doom asks the Scarlet Witch to marry him, but she agrees only if he will release his newfound power. Doom will not, and so teleports the Scarlet Witch and the Young Avengers back to Avengers Mansion. Iron Lad decides everyone should escape to the Time Stream, but some of the team disappears. Patriot blames himself for their predicament, when the Scarlet Witch is suddenly rendered unconscious by the White Queen, as members of the Avengers, X-Men and X-Factor wake from their unconscious state. Wiccan and Speed challenge the White Queen in an attempt to protect the Scarlet Witch, before the White Queen reads her mind, and learns that the Scarlet Witch no longer has her massive power. The mutants are concerned, but Cyclops is determined that the Scarlet Witch be brought to justice. The Young Avengers begin to argue with him about that. Doom soon arrives, and shows the heroes how he can remake the world, and asks them to accept his offer, but the Avengers, X-Men and X-Factor attack him once he transforms himself into a giant, and warns them that they will die. The Young Avengers, Scarlet Witch and Ant-Man worry about what to do, only for Ant-Man to shrink himself down and ride an ant into the giant Doom’s ear, causing damage. Ant-Man exits the ear, only to seemingly be swatted by Doom. This upsets his daughter, Stature, who grows to a massive size to match that of Doom’s, and attacks him - only to be slain by Doom. The Scarlet Witch and Wiccan cast a spell, opening the portal to the power that Doom took. Doom believes he can be one with his creator, but the power overwhelms him, corrupts him, and he is returned to his true form. He reveals that he was behind the disassembling of the Avengers, and the depowering of the mutants, simply by using the Scarlet Witch as a nexus being. The Scarlet Witch tries to help Doom, but he calls her weak, and warns her that her friends will kill her, before he teleports away. The Avengers, X-Men, X-Factor and the Young Avengers gather around the fallen Stature, only for Ant-Man, hidden in the grass, to regain consciousness and return to his true size - whereupon he finds his daughter’s body.

Comic Summary: The Phoenix Force decimates a city, possibly an entire planet, as it moves through the cosmos. On Earth, several of the Avengers witness a burst of energy crash into a commercial airliner, and then into the top of a building. Thor, Iron Man and Ms Marvel prevent the airliner from crashing, and from the debris of the building falling to the ground. Spider-Man assists in stopping the debris. Captain America, Hawkeye and the Black Widow find the point of impact on the ground where the energy landed - it’s Nova, who is in a bad shape, and announces “It’s coming” before passing out. On Utopia, Cyclops persists in giving Hope rigorous training exercises, despite her protests. Hope reminds Cyclops she has been training all her life, and asks him what he is so afraid of, before she manifests energy in the form of a phoenix. Captain America and Iron Man visit the President and brief him on Nova’s appearance, and the fact that they found the energy source of the Phoenix entity on his costume. They announce that the Phoenix is headed to Earth and explain that it will lay waste to everything. They report that a squad of Avengers have been headed to intercept, and that it may be a suicide mission, when suddenly, Iron Man gets a signal of a similar energy to that of the Phoenix, being used on Earth. Captain America visits the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning and quizzes Wolverine about the Phoenix, before telling him that it is coming this way and asks if he can count on Wolverine and the school’s help. On Utopia, Magneto, the White Queen, Sub-Mariner and Colossus confront Cyclops about Hope’s recent manifestation, and discuss the Phoenix, when Captain America arrives. Hope watches as Cyclops confronts Captain America, who the White Queen reports is not planning to leave without Hope. Cyclops points out that the Avengers were never there for the mutant population after “M-Day”, and does not offer his support to Captain America now. He orders Captain America off his island, and even uses his optic blast on him, only for over a dozen Avengers, including Wolverine, to reveals themselves onboard a SHIELD heli-carrier overhead. Cyclops orders his X-Men to protect Hope at all costs.

The Scarlet Witch, under Tony Stark’s guidance, is able to actually take the cosmically powered Magik down. Emma Frost appears, and confronts the Scarlet Witch, but Hawkeye attacks her, only to be set ablaze with cosmic energy. Dr Strange arrives on scene and teleports the Avengers away, save for Hawkeye and Spider-Woman who are both captured. The Phoenix Five meet and discuss their plan - the Sub-Mariner thinks the Avengers should be killed, while Magik believes that the Scarlet Witch is the reason why the Phoenix gave them its power - to purge the world of the Scarlet Witch. However, the Sub-Mariner and his squad locate the real Scarlet Witch, and he attacks her after the Avengers capture Transonic, but the Scarlet Witch sends the Sub-Mariner back to Utopia with a teleport spell. The Sub-Mariner is furious that one of the X-Men’s own has been captured, but Cyclops is certain that they are making the right moves and that they will get the Scarlet Witch. In Wakanda, Tony Stark analyses data and discovers a connection between the Scarlet Witch’s energies and the Phoenix Force, before Iron Fist introduces him to Lei Kung the Thunderer, from the mystical city of K’un Lun. Emma Frost finds the Sub-Mariner and reveals that she agrees with him, and informs him that she knows Transonic is in Wakanda - and that she has not told Cyclops. The two then kiss. Back in Wakanda, the Avengers discuss sending Hope to K’un Lun, before a warrior interrupts them, bringing news of a huge tidal wave that the Sub-Mariner is riding - right towards Wakanda!

Comic Summary: Seventy-two hours ago, Iron Man and several Avengers met to discuss what they know about the Phoenix, and he reveals how he thinks the Scarlet Witch’s power and the Phoenix Force are related, and that their combined power will stop Cyclops. Now, Cyclops, transformed into the Dark Phoenix, fights what few members of the Avengers and X-Men are able to confront him on Utopia. However, his power starts to tear Earth apart. The Avengers and X-Men are forced to travel the globe and aid against disasters and try to fight Cyclops, who is eventually brought back down to Earth by the new Nova. Hope and the Scarlet Witch arrive and confront Cyclops, attacking him in unison. Several others arrive and observe the battle, while thinks he sees Jean Grey in amongst the cosmic flames of the Phoenix, before he is taken out by Hope and the Scarlet Witch - and the Phoenix Force leaves him - and goes into Hope. Using the Phoenix Force, Hope speeds around the Earth, fixing most of the damage that Cyclops did as the Dark Phoenix. She returns and introduces herself as White Phoenix, claiming to be the savior of all mutant kind, until the Scarlet Witch convinces her that that was not why she was chosen to be the Phoenix. They combine their power and say “No more Phoenix”, which sends the Phoenix Force out of Hope, and it scatters all around the world, dropping small portions of energy as it vanishes. The Stepford Cuckoos begin to pick up new mutants appearing all around the world. Cyclops, without the Phoenix Force, is taken into a ruby quartz prison, where Captain America interrogates him. Cyclops isn’t convinced that what he did was all that bad, as new mutants have started to appear. Captain America explains that several X-Men have gone renegade, and assures him that he will bring them to justice, just as Cyclops will be brought to justice. Wolverine is there, but has nothing to add. They depart, as Wolverine has a eulogy to give. Storm wants to assist with the re-build in Wakanda, while Iron Fist realizes that Iron Man knew that new mutants would start appearing. Thor offers the new Nova a place on the Avengers, while the Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye discover Captain America is putting together a new team. Hope visits Utopia, which is sealed off by order of SHIELD, and she is once again using the jetpack to fly. No longer with the Phoenix Force, she decides that it is a beautiful day, and flies away.

Comic Summary: Captain America squares off against Gambit in the Savage Land. He throws his shield at Gambit, who charges it up and sends it back. All the while, Captain America is on the radio to Iron Man, informing him on the progress of finding Hope Summers. After the two men engage in hand to hand combat, Captain America gets the upper hand and pins Gambit to a tree. However, whilst he is radioing Iron Man again, Gambit charges up his costume. He explodes and Gambit thinks he’s won but Captain America emerges from the smoke. They fight once again and this time Captain America punches Gambit unconscious. He then gets a location on Hope and calls all Avenger teams back to the tower. (2nd story) Spider-Man and his Avenger allies are in Latveria, looking for Hope, when they are found by some of the X-Men. Each X-Man picks a target and chases after them, at which point Spider-Man is left to fight the Cyttorak empowered Colossus. Spider-Man initially gains the upper hand by dodging out of his way and then using webbing to blind him. Then, whilst Colossus is blinded, he gets a few punches in and then webs his feet together, but Colossus slams his hands together, creating a huge shockwave that knocks Spider-Man back. Colossus then throws Spider-Man around and starts flinging Doombots at him and Spider-Man is soon on the ropes. Colossus begs Spider-Man to stop before he kills him but Spider-Man continues to stand up to Colossus. Just then, Daredevil returns and says that Hope is not there. With that, they leave before Colossus can do any more damage. (Brief description courtesy of uncannyxmen.net)
