Comic Summary: On Genosha, Wanda Maximoff alters reality to make it seem as if she truly has children once again. However, Professor Xavier, who is trying to heal Wanda, forces her to place reality back in place, leaving her lucid enough to agonize over how she killed several of the Avengers, including her ex-husband. It seems this is a recurring scenario and always ends with Xavier psionically forcing Wanda to sleep. However, this ploy is not working as well anymore. Xavier informs Magneto on the dire situation, but Magneto blames himself for it all, as he destroyed his children’s lives in the name of his dead dream. Xavier runs out of options and secretly travels to New York City, where he meets with the new Avengers to discuss the fate of Wanda. The new Avengers call in several former Avengers and Dr. Strange, as well as Cyclops’ team of X-Men, who are shocked to see the Professor after how things ended the last time they met. The heroes waste no time in discussing the situation. Emma and Wolverine find themselves in the minority, as they want to kill Wanda. Shockingly, Xavier reluctantly admits that killing her may be their only option. Wasp and Warbird demand to see Wanda and thus the heroes travel to Genosha, unaware that Quicksilver discovered their secret meeting and ran to his father, fearing that the heroes would come and kill Wanda. Quicksilver, however, is left heartbroken to hear that his father agrees that perhaps Wanda would be better off put out of her misery, though Magneto is quite ashamed to admit it. However, when the heroes reach Genosha they find Magneto and Wanda missing. Suddenly, Xavier disappears and Emma senses Wanda in a church. Dr. Strange, Iron Man and Spider-Man, however, sense nothing. Spider-Man enters the church and goes ahead of the others. As he rounds the corner into a next room, he notices something but, before he can see what it is… reality changes, possibly forever. Peter Parker then wakes up in New York City to hear his baby crying. His lovely blonde wife, Gwen Stacy, reminds him that it is his turn to check on their child, Ritchie.

Comic Summary: Mutants all over the world wake up and find themselves now de-powered. Among the casualties include Blob, Jubilee, Mirage, Feral, Thornn and, apparently, Iceman. Trish Tilby reports from Mutant Town on the massive power loss. She later calls Beast to reconnect with him, but Hank is still bitter over her betrayal and refuses to pick up. Bishop teams up with Sergeant Charlotte Jones to start helping out those in Mutant Town, which is a direr situation than originally expected. Terrorists destroy the X-Corporation Europe office, forcing Cyclops to close down all X-Corporations around the world. Feral and Thornn take it especially hard, as they know this de-powering is no accident and are bitter at the X-Men for simply dumping them in the streets during their time of need. Thornn swears revenge as she sneaks off with her seemingly injured sister, Feral. As Husk and Karma call parents to update the status of their children, Iceman deals with parents who are not happy that their children still have powers. He is confronted by Polaris about his power loss, but partially sees this as an opportunity to reconnect with her. As Cyclops has Sunspot clear out the X-Corporations, Sage volunteers to examine the crisis, but Scott does not tell her the truth about the House of M. In fact, most of the X-Men don’t know the truth. Cyclops then orders all human students home, much to their chagrin, and then opens the school open to any mutant in need. Worried about recent dreams Marvel Girl and Nocturne have been having, Nightcrawler puts together a team to find Captain Britain and deal with a related power spike there, not knowing that Peter Wisdom has also been ordered to find Captain Britain. Meanwhile, the Courtney Ross imposter finds that one of her contacts is in dire need of help. In the States, the president orders the initiation of the O*N*E*, a national emergency counter-measure that utilizes a new breed of manually piloted Sentinels. Emma finds herself unable to deal well with the crisis and feels like an outsider more than ever, but Cyclops comforts her and realizes that both of them need to stop bottling up their emotions. As Storm decides to leave the team over disagreements with Cyclops and Emma, Wolverine and Colossus fight the Sapien League on the mansion grounds, who are trying to kill mutants trying to make it to Xavier’s. Before Wolverine can chase after the escaping Sapien League, Sentinel Squad O*N*E* arrives and surrounds the mansion.

Comic Summary: Things have surprisingly changed for mutants, after Charles Xavier made Krakoa their homeland. Krakoa has developed a network of habitats around the world, connected by teleportation portals (developed by Cypher), and after several revolutionary medicines offered by Xavier to all countries have been officially accept them. Jean Grey and Banshee lead several mutant kids to the main island, where they are welcomed by Xavier. Magneto and the Stepford Cuckoos take members of the United Nations Security Council on a tour through several habitats, though Magneto makes it clear that mutants are arguing from a position of strength here, and he doesn’t really give a fig about their guests’ opinion. In the meantime, Mystique, Toad and Sabretooth steal data from Damage Control and are discovered. Sabretooth kills several guards, despite orders to the contrary. When the others escape though a Krakoan teleportation portal, Sabretooth is captured by the Fantastic Four. A little later, Cyclops tries to barter for his release and makes it clear that he isn’t too unhappy when the FF refuse. However, when the Invisible Woman mentions her unease regarding what’s going on on Krakoa, he schools her regarding mutant problems and leaves. In the meantime, enemies of mutantkind have already gathered on a space platform, where they are enacting the “Orchis Protocols,” the ultimate weapon against mutants. They are aided by former X-Men ally Karima Shapoandar aka Omega Sentinel. At an unclear point in time, Xavier awakens several mutants out of cocoons.
